THE FEILD LOG

THE SPECIMEN

Cut from a dense Heavyweight Heritage Jersey, this piece features a signature garment-dyed finish that provides a lived-in, vintage hand-feel from the first wear. The structural, boxy fit allows the artwork to sit flat against the chest without distortion.

THE ARTIFACT: RECLAIMED TOME

An ancient book stands upright and moss-covered, blending natural decay with the quiet magic of stories reclaimed by the forest.
Deep in the forest where light falls in green-tinted fragments, an old book stands propped against a fallen cedar, its spine bowed but unbroken. Moss blankets its cover in thick, soft layers, creeping into corners and curling around the edges of pages left slightly ajar. Through Naturalist Fantasy, the textures blur beautifully between artifact and ecosystem—paper becoming leaf, ink merging with soil, and the book’s silhouette forming part of the forest floor as if it has always belonged there.
Tiny ferns sprout between pages that once held tight lines of text. Dew pools in the curve where two pages partially separate, turning the faint remnants of ink into watery constellations. Along the book’s weathered spine, threads show where binding once held firm; now they weave together with miniature roots that anchor the tome to the damp earth. The forest around it is hushed, save for the slow drip of moisture from a nearby branch and the muted rustle of wind moving through long strands of hanging moss.
Symbolically, the reclaimed tome speaks to the quiet persistence of both nature and memory. It represents the stories we forget, the ones we leave behind, and how the forest has a way of gathering them, softening them, and weaving them back into its own ancient narrative. The naturalist fantasy style elevates this transformation, blurring the boundary between written history and living landscape until they feel inseparable.

(FINAL ECHO)
As sunlight shifts, a beam catches the moss in a warm golden glow, briefly illuminating a faded line of text on an exposed page before shadow reclaims it. In that moment, it becomes clear that the book still holds meaning—just not in the form it once did.
Reclaimed Tome reminds us that even forgotten stories continue to grow, taking new shape in the places where time and nature quietly conspire.

MAINTENANCE PROTOCOL

Preserving the Artifact
To maintain the integrity of the fiber density and the fidelity of the print, we recommend the following protocol:

  • Wash: Machine wash cold with like colors. Turn the garment inside out to protect the artwork.
  • Dry: Hang dry is preferred to "cure" the fit. Tumble dry on low if necessary.
  • Iron: Never iron the design directly.
