THE ARTIFACT: THE BOUNTY

Set atop a moss-padded log in the dim light of a forest clearing, the basket rests with the contented heaviness of a successful day. Woven from willow or some similarly flexible branch, its structure is captured with the warm, textured sensitivity of a vintage still life painting. The handle arcs gracefully, shadows pooling beneath it, while the body of the basket bulges gently with its cargo: an abundance of morels and chanterelles spilling over the rim in a cascade of earthy browns and glowing golds.
Each mushroom is painted with care. The morels display their intricate honeycomb caps, dark and rich, with stems that curve slightly from the weight of their tops. The chanterelles, by contrast, offer smooth, flared caps and delicate gills, their color a deep sunset yellow that catches the ambient light. A few have rolled out of the basket and come to rest on the log, alongside a scattering of fir needles and flecks of bark, hinting at the motion that preceded this quiet arrangement. Preserving the Artifact
To maintain the integrity of the fiber density and the fidelity of the print, we recommend the following protocol:

• Wash: Machine wash cold with like colors. Turn the garment inside out to protect the artwork.
• Dry: Hang dry is preferred to "cure" the fit. Tumble dry on low if necessary.
• Iron: Never iron the design directly.
